About Our Church

Who We Are
The Seventh-day Adventist Church Magomeni is a vibrant and grace-filled community of believers committed to growing in faith and reflecting the character of Jesus Christ in our daily lives. We believe that every person is created by God with purpose and that through His grace we are continually being transformed into the image of Christ.

Our church family gathers to worship, study God’s Word, pray together, and serve our community with love and compassion. Whether you are visiting for the first time, seeking spiritual guidance, or looking for a church home, you are warmly welcome to worship and fellowship with us.

Church History
The Seventh-day Adventist Church Magomeni was established in 1963 following a major evangelistic campaign held in Dar es Salaam that lasted for three months. The campaign was led by the renowned evangelist Pastor Earl E. Cleveland from the United States of America, who was supported by the ordained ministers serving at that time together with several dedicated evangelists.

Through the power of the gospel and the commitment of the church leaders and members, many individuals responded to the message of Christ. At the conclusion of the campaign, the Magomeni Seventh-day Adventist Church was officially consecrated with a membership of approximately 100 believers.

At that time, it was the first and only Seventh-day Adventist Church in the city of Dar es Salaam and the entire Coast Region, serving as a spiritual center for Adventist believers in the area for several years.

By God’s grace, the church has continued to grow over the decades. As membership increased, the church expanded its mission and outreach, leading to the establishment of several other local Seventh-day Adventist congregations across the city and beyond. Today, Magomeni SDA Church continues to play an important role in nurturing faith, supporting its members, and sharing the message of hope and salvation with the wider community.
